The engineering output identifies one of four conditions: producible as submitted, producible after modification, sample-dependent, or not currently suitable for stable production. Each formal SKU receives a current drawing, BOM, artwork, material, dimensions, weight, attachment, finish, decoration, testing, and packaging version. Golden Sample
The Golden Sample records accepted appearance and function, including size, connection, edge, Logo, PVD shade, texture, enamel, stones, assembly, and packaging. Approval photographs and sample identification are retained. Physical customer and factory samples can be managed according to the agreed project procedure and retention period.
First Article
Before normal bulk output, the first article is checked against controlled files and the Golden Sample. Deviations in dimensions, interface clearance, orientation, engraving, decoration, surface, assembly, or packaging are closed before the affected process continues. The first article does not replace later in-process and final inspection.
Dimensions and Interfaces
Inspection covers overall dimensions, thickness, weight, hole diameter, hole-to-edge distance, loop geometry, attachment clearance, and hanging direction. What is the MOQ for stainless steel charms?
Ready-made or regular styles commonly start at 120 pieces per style; custom OEM/ODM charms commonly start at 500. Actual MOQ may be calculated by design, color, size, material, PVD batch, mold, decoration, or packaging version. Mixed quantities require project review.
Can Chicolink manufacture charms from my Logo or artwork?
Yes. Submit AI, EPS, SVG, CDR, editable PDF, DWG, DXF, or another clear file. We assess line width, negative space, dimensions, hole or loop position, orientation, material, process, Logo depth, and manufacturability. The buyer should also confirm authorization to use the submitted trademark, font, graphics, or other protected design.
Should I choose 304 or 316L stainless steel?
304 is commercially practical for many mainstream charm programs because supply and processing are flexible. 316L may suit projects with specific corrosion-resistance, brand-positioning, or market requirements, but its processing difficulty can affect cost and lead time. Chicolink recommends material only after reviewing geometry, use, finish, target market, testing, quantity, and price position.
Which processes can produce a custom charm?
Available routes include laser cutting, stamping, hydraulic forming, casting, CNC machining, drilling, laser welding, laser engraving, etching, polishing, PVD, enamel or resin filling, stone setting, and assembly. Flat, repeated, three-dimensional, precision, multi-part, and decorated charms require different combinations. We select the route after reviewing geometry and quantity.
How long does custom charm sampling take?
Custom OEM/ODM samples normally require 25–30 working days after all inputs and commercial terms are confirmed. Existing-style samples normally require 3–7 working days. Tooling, revisions, decoration, testing, material availability, or custom packaging can extend the approved schedule.
Will PVD gold charms never fade?
No. Performance depends on substrate, preparation, layer structure, geometry, friction, environment, handling, and care. Chicolink instead confirms measurable PVD, color, inspection, test, and packing conditions for the project. The dedicated PVD table lists our internal references and their limits.
Can Chicolink produce custom enamel charm colors?
Yes, after confirming the correct material and process. Provide clear vector artwork and Pantone or approved color references. We review line width, metal borders, recess depth, fill boundary, surface level, bubbles, shrinkage, overflow, curing, polishing, PVD sequence, and adhesion requirements. Cold enamel, epoxy, resin filling, paint, and fired enamel are not treated as identical processes.
How do you control samples and bulk production?
Chicolink links the Golden Sample to controlled product and packing files. First articles, in-process output, final inspection, and batch records use those references. Approved changes receive new versions, and superseded files are removed from active production use.
